At the recent exhibition Savage Mind, Nicolas Cheng explored new techniques for working with cork. Cheng found that despite the material's common use, its presentation remains the same.




By creating a cork pulp, Cheng's Quercus suber series references the skin of the original cork oak tree and provides the material a new form of expression.
