Paper mosaics made from the printed packaging of consumer goods? Why not? Michael Sweere’s all right with it. Sweere, another artist belonging to the Pilot collective, is a firm believer in re-using, keeping stacks of old boxes and packaging, all carefully arranged by colour. Sweere’s works are colourful landscapes and lighthearted portraits, created for the most part from paper, but also out of coffee cups, wood and whatever other materials are easily salvaged.
