Zune Arts presents a new Mother’s Day video by Yves Geleyn, with music from the Bird and the Bee.

We discovered a couple of Swedish illustrators and artists, Cassandra Rhodin and Amanda Mendiant, today via Husmusen.

There is a lovely new print by Jen Corace, all about uniformity, over at Paper Tiger, as well as the mystical Hello Ocean by Jeana Sohn. Paper Tiger’s affordable limited editions offer ever-changing variety on a weekly basis.

'Skineart is a new website dedicated to al those artists who fill their Moleskines and want to share. The site is open-platform, where artists can submit art from the pages of their Moleskines. Above we have an example from Mattias Adolfsson and one from Gom Jabbar.

There is fabulous interview with Australian artist Nicholas Jones over at Design Files, along with numerous photos of his work. Jones makes intricate sculptures out of old books, an elaborate series of cuts and folds.

Dan Tague’s prints of folded cash first look like crumpled up money, but when the viewer takes a moment to read the message created by carefully folding the bill just so, all is revealed. Via Notcot.

Paper Tiger, an on-line print gallery has just announced the inaugural release of their first weekly exclusive, a Jack Long print, They Returned Every Year to Watch It Grow. Also available is Tom Haubrick’s Clouds, available in an edition of ten.

One of Dan Proops’ specialties is taking a pixelated look at art and creating paintings of computer desktops. Classic icons are immortalized in oil on canvas – the viewer need never shut down. Via CR Blog.

Felted teddy bear skulls and fetuses – who knew? Stephanie Metz does a bang up job of making the ubiquitous stuffed animal more lifelike. And there are more creatures back where these came from … Via NOTCOT.

Portuguese photographer Edgar Martins is featured at Cool Hunting, where we were introduced to his first book. Martins aims his lens at barren landscape and brings out the beauty inherent in their isolation.

Rob Ryan’s paper art is transferred to tiles, allowing broader access to his delicate work. Colourful, playful and just right, the messages in Rob Ryan’s work reminds us of ourselves. Via Josh Spear.

We tried to pretend we did not see this creepy little clam, but we succumbed. First knitted, then felted, by Life of an Alien, the clam joins its friends, the Lobster and the Micropus. Via Whip Up.

At Josh Spear we discovered some soft French landscapes by Fabienne Labakoff who digitally embellishes her photos with subtle painted additions. These affordable prints have an extremely soothing air about them, all herbal tea and clean and cosy linens.

Design*Sponge featured the framed photos by John Murphy who hand-finishes his frames to go with his photos. Murphy does not shy away from high gloss and high colour, so be prepared for lively pieces that will not be ignored.
