As Far As I Could Go by Sonia Haberstich
by sabine7 / June 12, 2013

Pops of colour in the form of spotted balloons are hard to resist. Sonia Haberstich's work is playful, inviting and quite varied. She lets her acrylic inks bleed ever so gently, with careful drips lending their own architecture to the compositions. Platelets, summer joys, seductively toxic toadstools and jellybean gemstones are just a few of the images evoked by this work. Haberstich has a similarly exciting series in epoxy, as well as pompom bas-reliefs, embroidery, encaustic work and varied installations - all must-sees.
