Glassworks by Jochen Holz
by sabine7 / April 24, 2013

Jochen Holz employs lampworking, a glassmaking technique used for producing laboratory equipment, to create elegant sculptural vessels. The irregularities of the colourful carafes and vases proudly demonstrate their distinctly handmade nature; the forms are bold and yet organic, almost as though hand-thrown pottery. There is something solid and down to earth about them, despite the curvaceous forms and the nature of the material.
