Marco Casentini's recent paintings are geometric representations of urban spaces he has known. But Casentini's cityscapes are anything but the grey glass and concrete to which we are accustomed. The artist builds with candy-bright blocks, so the view of the city from the onlooker's perspective is one of a rather optimistic arrangement. Perhaps Casentini is hinting that we should look more closely at what is before us in order that we may see that which is pleasing and good.
