Landscapes of clouds, mountains, valleys and trees are far from ordinary in Alex McLeod's new series of candy-coloured, hyperrealist scenes. McLeod uses a digital canvas to distort our perceptions of fairytale settings where things are not necessarily what they may seem. Shape, form and hue combine to entice us to what may first appear as a world of innocence, but once there, we are left to wonder what is really going on. Whatever will happen next?
