Photographer Jeane Umbreit layers moments to create a fuller narrative, almost as though developing a new memory. Using double exposures in her compositions, Umbreit balances bold images that catch our attention with subtler ones that have a lingering presence. The artist mixes lush tones with watery, shadowy whispers; birds fly, music plays and life goes on. And yet, although there is a nostalgic feel to Umbreit's work, these images are of the here and now.
