Scottish painter Donald Provan divides his work into scenes above and below the water's surface. His very precise fish gleam - silver - as they move as a school. Almost incisive, they appear to have collective focus, as though their goal is to create peace from movement. The paintings evoke the almost-silence of a cool, underwater world devoid of danger. These works are part of a group show of paintings by a larger band of Scottish artists.
