"Observing life's ebb and flow" is the first step to its distillation when Montreal artist Claire Desjardins is the observer. And though her work is rife with underlying narrative, sometimes one does well to heed her words and simply observe. Sometimes the visual connection with bold colours and forms is all it takes to be transported into the paintings themselves. And often, that in itself is enough.
