Orange Orange Cobalt Teal by Louise P. Sloane
by sabine7 / November 7, 2011

Within the colour and texture that make up the seemingly simple squares in these works by Louise P. Sloane lurks hidden abstract narrative. Sloane layers the written word, literally building abstraction upon narrative, to create shocks of colour. The squares embrace the eye with their boldness, then seduce with the tactile nature of "objectified written communications".

Artist: Louise P. Sloane

Work by Louise P. Sloane can be seen in an exhibition at Sideshow Gallery, Williamsburg through November 13, 2011.
