Toronto design showroom MADE presents Accumulation, a new installation by textile artist Amanda McCavour at the Gladstone Hotel Café. McCavours continues to use her technique of sewing Spirograph-like disks onto a water-soluble fabric that melts away to leave marvels of thread that she coaxes into blooms. Accumulation allows the artist to build flowing thread flowers by stacking and folding the delicate disks that then tumble down in a cascade of green. And if flowers aren't your thing, the installation can also evoke images of the fluid movements of jellyfish.

Accumulation opens November 3, 2011 at the Gladstone Hotel Cafe in Toronto and runs through January 29, 2012.
