Etienne Martin creates a stained glass effect by chunking the backgrounds of his paintings into mosaic squares outlined in black. Montreal's architecture is a willing subject, with the Olympic Stadium still appearing as though inspired by a futuristic spaceship. Moishe Safdie's Habitat 67 is easily recognized, cubed condos mimicking the red and yellow behind them, and the Jacques Cartier Bridge appears to be sturdier than it might be in real life.
