Markus Linnenbrink sets the tone when Tomlinson Kong Contemporary opens next week with a colourful inaugural exhibition entitled come a little closer. Linnenbrink's drip paintings of epoxy on wood and c-print and epoxy resin on wood beckon the viewer to read between the lines, as though searching for memories that fade in and out. The show will feature a variety of Linnenbrink's paintings (including drip work on photos taken by his father) and yummy sculptures, along with an installation to be created on site by the artist on the walls of the gallery. Tomlinson Kong Contemporary is a new venture by Rebecca Kong and Jon Tomlinson, founders of Artware Editions.
