Alice Ng shared her first camera, a gift from an uncle, with her brothers when she was twelve years old and discovered that knowing how to focus was a source of confidence. Ng's "aha!" moment came when she realized that not everyone can take a sharp photo. But Ng's focus was not only on the skill of taking the perfect picture, but capturing the beauty in everything around her, all condensed onto slips of 3 x 5 photo paper.
