Gothic Lolita Punk: Draw Like the Hottest Japanese Artists by Rico Komanoya is a bit of a misnomer, but an enjoyable art book all the same. Ten Japanese and Korean artists who focus on the genre of gothic Lolita punk (a style of dressing and attitude that combines these elements) are interviewed in profiles that feature their work, inspiration and techniques. This book is not really a guide on how to draw, but a sampler of the movement. DJ SiSeN presents a brief history of the genre, or culture, and his role in it, in an interview that makes up the introduction. In addition to the artists' work, there is a handy section or glossary with information pertaining to this subculture, including the various types of Lolitas, key elements of the outfits and where to get them.
