Logan Hicks uses stencils, photography, aerosol and a variety of canvases (etched wood panels and anodized aluminium, for example) to create photorealistic urban landscapes that are full of mood. By repeating motifs, Hicks presents multiples of elements found in strikingly stark cityscapes, thus creating a sense of solidarity or "being alone together", the way we so often are in big cities. He carves a quiet beauty out of architectural details and facades, abandoned buildings and deserted streets.
