Using the Dutch landscape, a large-format camera and no shortage of technical skill, Ellen Kooi composes narratives that look as though they've slipped out from between the pages of a book. The title of her current exhibition is Out of Sight and that may well be where the bulk of the action takes place. These hyper realities are produced through a combination of staging, elaborate lighting and posed characters who beckon us down the proverbial rabbit hole. We can only guess at what we may discover.
