Hair by Marc Laroche
Hair becomes the medium in this series of black and white photographs by Marc Laroche. Almost a sculptural element, these tresses take on a life of their own as they whirl around and over their owners' faces. The hair acts as a disguise, a neutralizer and a mask, but also as a silky modelling clay that is putty to the forces of the air that controls it. Straightforward portraits become textured abstracts.
