Paintings by Samantha French evoke memories of hot days at the beach, chillin' at the cottage and the sharp scent of the chlorine at the pool. Whether swimming lengths, practicing a formation or just getting wet one inch at a time, French's bathers steal the show. The water plays a major role in these paintings, but French gives equal time to sensible swimwear in some of her other works.
