Take Care is an exhibition of new paintings by Berlin-based Eberhard Havekost, a series of painted images based on photographic sources. The three paintings shown here evoke images of prints at varying stages of success. A shadowy figure is barely there, obscured by blurred hues, avoiding exposure. The focus is on a tree trunk in the foreground, while the background scenery remains distant and indistinct. A sunny day turns hazy, a memory that is fading.
