Life Strategies by Silvia Levenson
by sabine7 / February 23, 2011

Sure, that Ikea chair may seem familiar, but the seat is kiln cast glass by Silvia Levenson, atop a floor covering of softly hued glass tiles etched with the names of useful medication. Levenson, born in Buenos Aires and based in Italy, uses glass to convey messages linked to our pursuit of happiness and the home in which we cocoon ourselves. This work is a reflection of how difficult it must be to relax inside while life explodes all around us, relying on a domestic model to make it all right.
