Berlin photographer Harf Zimmermann worked with the Berlin Museum of Natural History to photograph its famous butterfly collection of 4 million specimens. Shot on large format film, the photos reveal intricacies of nature that are usually lost to the naked eye. Zimmermann's reproductions seem more alive than the subjects, pinned down in place for years on end.
