Marvin Lipofsky is a master of blown glass. The American sculptor is renowned for a wide variety of colourful blown glass pieces that range from translucent shell-like receptacles to more skull-like opaque sculptures. However, these gourd-invoking examples of work from the California Loop series of the late sixties are a delightful reminder of the playfulness brought about such a store of skill.
