Work by U.K. artist Will Barras is featured in the current group show, Brit Paint, on at the Carmichael Gallery in Culver City. Pieces in this show are moody evocations of a darker side to city life where bright candy colours are not representative of innocence but the glow of neon lights. Urban symbols such as taxis, subways and wild city dogs are constants in mixed media paintings that speak of the loneliness and fatigue at the end of the night.
