Taking inspiration from a holiday in a cabin on a lake in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, Amy Rice brings us another round of her signature mixed media pieces that are a blend of acrylic, gouache, ink and collage that make good use of weathered wood panels, found objects, antique envelopes, sheet music and homework, age-worn love letters, hand-painted Gocco prints and other ephemera yellowed with time. Composed of comforting images that are a reflection of memories both real and imagined, Rice's new work, all robin's egg blue and glass containers, does not disappoint.
