Christa Assad's new series of work is entitled Vestigial Tales, a collection of teapots, jugs and vessels that is based on objects and architecture. The unusual ceramics pay homage to industry and the transformations that most urban areas are experiencing. Transformers, wood burners and grenades are a few of the forms that take on new life through Assad's techniques. The transformer is a symbol of global transitions, as well as those that have taken place within industry and creative fields.
