God Smiles by Tim Crowder
by sabine7 / August 13, 2010

Pastorals take a turn for the more unusual when Tim Crowder uses oil, enamel and embroidery to depict scenarios that veer away from the run-of-the-mill. Animals figure in these settings that are often clouding over, a bit of weather that seems to announce that things might change. Crowder often sets the titles to the paintings within the works, as a caption that makes the touch of the surreal stand out even more.
