Donut Logic by Eric Joyner
by sabine7 / July 26, 2010

For about ten years now, artist Eric Joyner has focussed on the unlikely pairing of donuts and robots. Now he goes beneath the surface to show us how robots really live and how they, too, succumb to tattoos and seek out the same sort of work-family balance that we do. As Joyner says in an artist's statement, "I think the robots in my paintings reflect how a lot of us act and feel." Indeed, the robots are more domestic than ever before, indulging in gardening, relaxation and a little living room fun. And, rumour has it that Joyner has introduced cupcakes to this new series of paintings.
