White Lakes is a series of collaborative works by Michelle Jezierski and Jan von Holleben that combine layers of photography and painting. Based on landscape photos that were largely the black of the rocks and trees and the white of the snow, taken by von Holleben in Norway, Jezierski was inspired to add planes of colour. The trick was complementing each other's style without burying or muddying it. The result is a surreal look, a layering of visions that takes the viewer into a unique dimension.
