Mina Georgescu describes her work as decorative photography, and we will admit that her work is easy on the eye. Georgescu's recent series entitled Coney Island and Other Magical Places suggests sultry summer days when all we can do is sit still and take it all in. The Bucharest-born artist uses a technique involving saturated hues, scratches, blurred motion and textures to add a nostalgic feel to each image. You can practically smell the hot dogs and cotton candy.
