Bubbles by Marianne Kemp
by sabine7 / June 17, 2010

Marianne Kemp weaves horsehair into fanciful installations and textile art. Sourcing her material from live horses in the Far East and Mongolia, Kemp often integrates the horsehair into linen and cotton to create unique fabrics and textures. Shown above are Bubbles, a collection of mobiles that highlight the movement of the material as it catches the light. Kemp knots, curls and loops to provide a range of depth to the various weaves.
