False Flat: Why Dutch Design is So Good by Aaron Betsky
by sabine7 / June 13, 2010

Phaidon's False Flat by Aaron Betsky is a compendium of Dutch design that we saw at a Ventura Lambrate exhibition during Milan's Design Week. Although a couple of years old, this volume features 1000 images of design from the Netherlands in a myriad of forms: architecture, urban planning, industrial design and graphic design. Here is no doubt hat the Dutch are major players on the contemporary design scene and this book shows so many (we hesitate to say all) of the big names in one place. The book explores how Dutch history, geography and culture contribute to making Dutch design prolific and well-respected all over the world.
