Into the Evening by Beth Edwards
by sabine7 / June 2, 2010

Cartoon animals set upon pastoral landscapes in glorious, saturated colour are the trademarks of new work by Beth Edwards. Entitled Along the Way, the series depicts the animals enjoying themselves and their surroundings - in an anthropomorphic manner, of course. Picnics, drives in the country, blue skies and blooming poppies make for perfect days, but the artifice nudges us below the surface where a different picture may (or may not) be presented to us.
