Fluid forms create movement throughout the encaustic works by Rana Rochat, who performs a sort of visual poetry with overlapping curvilinear forms and lines. There is an underwater feel to works that are predominantly in tones of blues and greens, with the hint of a somewhat mid-century flavour. There is also a sense of looking through a microscope at a world of unknown, yet vaguely familiar, organisms.
