An exhibition of new work by Wendell Castle features a group of stack-laminated wood chairs, along with examples from Castle's first series of work in polished concrete. The signature fluidity and organic forms found in Castle's work are evident again in sinuous rockers, voluptuous concrete seating and sculptural wooden chairs whose bases and seat backs vary greatly. Now 77 years of age, Castle continues to demonstrate a creativity that is in keeping with contemporary expectations.
