Shallow Spoon by David Clarke
by sabine7 / February 24, 2010

Silversmith David Clarke creates unusual pieces of silver tableware by upcycling and transforming the identity of original items. The results are highly decorative, with a touch of whimsy, such as a solid spoon with a delicate shell-shaped indentation in the otherwise flat bowl. Or the gravy boat that appears to be leaning forward, bending at the waist and wearing trousers, as it were. There is also a set of milk bottle caps formed from other small household items of metal or odds and sods, as Clarke puts it.
