Do the Right Thing: A Poster History of African-American Cinema
by sabine7 / January 18, 2010

Do the Right Thing: A Poster History of African-American Cinema is a February exhibition to commemorate Black History Month. Movie posters from the 1920s through today will be on display, including several from Norman Film Studios, where films were produced between 1920 and 1928 to counter the stereotypes of African-Americans in the mainstream films of the time. Other posters that are part of the exhibition include those from Guess Who's Coming to Dinner? and In the Heat of the Night.
