Never Leave the House Naked: And 50 Other Ridiculous Fashion Rules by Anneloes van Gaalen is the third in the 50 Other Ridiculous Rules series. Whereas the first two books could be said to be perhaps more limited in scope as they were about ridiculous rules in the realms of advertising and design, everyone gets dressed. We've all had to consider some of these "rules" at some point, if only as a child insisting on wearing every possible print and pattern. Of course, being fashion-related, most of these rules are clichés, such as "less is more" or "don't wear white after Labor Day." But then there are the new classics, like "if the shoe fits, buy it in every colour." Again, it must be pointed out that this book, like the others in the series, is a book of quotes that can be applied to all these rules. It makes a great little gift for any fashionista or perhaps those who need to learn the first rule: "Never leave the house naked."
