Marilyn Minter fetishizes the mouth in a series of paintings, photographs and a video that bring the eye up close to tongues, lips and luscious materials evocative of food, drink and other substances. Pushed, splashed and licked against glass, these splatters are things of fantasy and defiance. The tongue and the lips are the tools, replacing a paintbrush, as they create scenes that are almost horticultural or even marine-like. Also on view are Minter's works that capture a more vulnerable-looking Pam Anderson.
