The Bells by Studio Re-Creation
by sabine7 / November 4, 2009

The boundaries between art, craft and design are blurred when Studio Re-Creation gets to work on sculptural items that make use of materials at hand. Nikola Nikolov is the force behind The Bells, a steel frame of cold forged iron bells that was inspired by old Bulgarian warning systems implemented by farmers. Rattling the frame would alert neighbours to any impending doom. Other recent work includes The White (Jack) Rabbit, a hare made out of pieces of baby cribs and chairs that represents an alternative character from Alice in Wonderland. And Alice is an open storage castle made from discarded furniture.
