Oilfield by Mona Marshall
by sabine7 / October 22, 2009

Mona Marshall's encaustic paintings are somewhat turbulent expressions of the constant relationship between man and nature. Weather, architecture and the land seem a-whirl as Marshall's strokes and techniques create uneasy movement that clearly put man at the disadvantage. There is force and spirit in Marshall's work, and sometimes a few quiet moments or lulls.
