One would be forgiven for assuming that nature has gone a little wrong in Jess von der Ahe's hand-carved wooden sculptures. A woman holds her head in her hands; the ewe and the ram are covered in breasts instead of wool; a skull walks with the legs of a crab. Is it any wonder that her collection of recent work is exhibited as funnyfarm? Man and nature meld and sometimes even come to resemble mythical beings in some of von der Ahe's pieces.
