Karen Caldicott's works in clay are, for the most part, sculptural renditions of celebrities and other people that serve as illustrations within various types of media. The likenesses are incredible. Caldicott bases her three-dimensional portraits on photographs from different angles, then works the clay until she is left with seven-inc busts of personalities that range from chef Mario Batali to Apple's Steve Jobs to politician Sarah Palin. This Queen of Plasticine does work for Rolling Stone and New York magazine.
