Merrick Angle's illustrations are a great mix of collage techniques that combine contemporary digital work with old-fashioned cut and paste. What makes the strongest pieces work so well is the inclusion of human figures who seem unaware of their awkward placement within the narrative. Graphs and lightbulbs are often present, also with hints of science or the office, to create unusual juxtapositions such as the accordion and hanging laundry set against the graph paper above.
