"Stragglers" by Amy Casey
by sabine7 / September 8, 2009

Amy Casey's latest works of acrylic on paper depict more urban architecture than her fans are used to seeing. The end of the world scenario is still in place, but factories, warehouses, bus lanes and apartment blocks have joined the usual peaked roof houses. More destruction is evident as Casey documents architectural elements banding together to fight catastrophe. Buildings adopt strategies to avoid falling into the void by stacking, webbing themselves in wires, and huddling on stilts.
