Windmills by Jeffrey Bowman
by sabine7 / August 19, 2009

With windmill farms and wind energy becoming more prevalent, Jeffrey Bowman's illustrations are right on target. The old-fashioned sails of windmills past have been replaced by three narrow blades that spin high in the sky, and Bowman captures the poetry of these modern counterparts to Sancho Panza's enemy. Bowman's are sometimes propellers, sometimes flowers, standing erect on a windy island or acting in miniature on household rooftops.
