Gad Charny's series of Mutants is derived from the usual cheap, plastic dinosaurs and animals that have been children's playthings for years, and are usually so completely nondescript. But when they start mutating, they become so much more interesting and almost endearing despite the greater degree of anonymity. These hybrids and mutants are a reflection of change and identity in terms of environmental change as well as our desire to transform or improve upon ourselves. But don't we all have days when we'd like to be a faceless cross between a bear and a dinosaur?
