Mary McKenzie's ceramic flowers make a wonderful garden installation, but would look just as magical in an interior setting. This Toronto-based artist has made over 500 vessels that can be most appropriately described as abstracted flowers out of materials that range from porcelain to earthenware. Each vessel is unique and has been embellished with glaze, glass, drawing, painting and found materials. These sculptural pieces look deceptively simple and are excellent symbols for the fragility of beauty and nature.
