In a small town in Argentina lives and works Paola Zakimi, an artist and dollmaker with an eye for detail. Although Zakimi's dolls are quite the little pretties, they appear wistful, almost sombre. Heavy-lidded and with deep foreheads, they don't look ready to share their thoughts. Though the concentration is on dolls, Zakimi's website is scattered with a variety of drawings and paintings as well, with the focus on the feminine.
